Must Have (free) Gems of the Internet

The internet has been by far the biggest thing to hit computers since Microsoft, but somethings on the internet stand out more then any other, and with a price to fit any budget.
1.Firefox 2
Yup, I almost didnt list it because it has become such a universally loved browser by geeks and everyone else. There was a time when if you had firefox chances are you referred to yourself as at least some what of a computer nerd but now, everyone has it. However I didn't choose firefox just because its a great browser the extensions that go with this are amazing. which brings me to #2
2. Del.icio.us
This site offers easy to use bookmarking that can be integrated into your browser with an easy extension. On top of that you can look at other peoples book marks and find great sites that you may never have found otherwise.
3.Gmail
Gmail is an essential tool to have if you love email. As a long time Yahoo email user I was unsure if gmail was really all it is cracked up to be, but it is, go get a gmail account of your own and find out how great it is.
4.The Gnutella Network
What is the gnutella network, while chances are you either know what it is or you use it and don't even know. The Gnutella network is the network that programs like Limewire, bearshare,emule, Gnucles, and many other programs connect too. If you haven't already done so, I recommend going out and downloading one of these programs so you can start downloading your own free music (you know, if it was legal).
5.Bittorrent/utorrennt
Like the Gnutella network through bittorrent and bittorrent apps (such as utorrent) you can download files from peers via the internet, however with bittorrent you download via host sites that connect you to other peers with the desired file you want. You can download entire games, movies, software and cds (you know if it was legal).
6. Pandora
This is a free internet radio site in which you tell them what kind of music you like then they play songs by artist that you might like. This is a great site if you wanna discover artist that you never have heard.
7.Avvg antivirus and Clamwin
You mean some people still pay to get virus protection, with either of these two great and did I mention free application you can get complete computer protection from viruses, and you can scan your computer for viruses.
8. Gaim
Tired of having difrent programs for your aim, msn, yahoo and other instant messaging clients while now you can put all of those clients into one. This one piece of software has each of those in it so you can message people through yahoo, aim, msn and many other IM systems.
9. CCleaner
I spent awhile trying to find a program that could clean out my registry values and other computer problems, but the wait was worth it. This free program will scan your entire computer for problems and then fix them making your computer faster.
10. ALL the free education
From W3schools.com to MIT's very own online educations you can learn any programing language your heart desires, and while your at it why not learn as much as those cocky MIT grads.
